Book Of Chronicles

The Book of Chronicles, known in Hebrew as דִּבְרֵי־הַיָּמִים (Dīvrē-hayYāmīm), which translates to “words of the days,” holds a significant place within both the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament.

While it is presented as a single book in the Hebrew Bible, it is divided into two distinct books, referred to as 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles, in the Christian Old Testament arrangement. Notably, Chronicles occupies the concluding position among all the books of the Hebrew Bible.

Furthermore, it serves as the final book within the third major section of the Jewish Tanakh, a section that is specifically designated as the Ketuvim, commonly known as the “Writings.” This placement signifies its importance in bringing closure to this collection of sacred texts.
